Floral Bomber and Distressed Denim
Is it just me, or does this unpredictable weather feel like one big roller coaster ride? With some days reaching highs of 70 degrees and others barely breaking 40, I have to actively remind myself that it's only February! The long-term implications of global warming and unwillingness of many to acknowledge its verity is mind boggling; but I suppose when life gives you lemons of the climate change variety, you should use them to create looks that will take you from winter to spring.
This year, one of my style goals is to nip over dressing in the bud by embracing the art of casual pieces. Today, that goal takes shape in the form of a floral bomber and distressed denim. I love this look because it's casual and effortlessly flirty. The olive floral pattern of the satin bomber is easy to digest and perfect for spring. It's also lightweight, which is great for unexpected changes in temperature throughout the day. The only thing that I don't love about these boyfriend jeans is that they didn't come with an actual boyfriend. Seems like a massive oversight in my opinion, but I've gotten past that as they are unbelievably comfortable. You know I can't resist a hint of glam, so I threw on my gold snakeskin sandals to amp things up a bit, and I can easily swap them out for my favorite pair of sneakers on more casual days.
