Nothing says "summer" like a crisp linen look. I love the effortless vibe that linen exudes, so when I saw this matching set, I knew that I had to have it. One thing that you can't tell about me from my blog or Instagram is that I like to joke around with my family and friends a lot. With my twenty sixth birthday on the horizon, my latest joke has been that I'll be dressing more like a wife moving forward in an effort to be the change that I want to see. I now ask myself, "What would Meghan Markle wear?" in the wake of my many fashion conundrums. Duchess dreams aside, this linen outfit is a lovely edition to my grown woman wardrobe.

It's no secret that I love a great matching set. As someone that grapples with intense indecision, the flexibility that they provide is a real treat. Co-ords are awesome because they're designed to be worn together, but can easily be re-purposed with different pieces to create an entirely new outfit. You may think it ends there, but the linen set that I'm wearing today takes co-ord versatility to an even higher level! The split hem top can be worn as is for ultimate goddess vibes, or tied in the front or back for a more casual look. In this post, I style the top both ways. I can't wait to pair it with different shorts and skirts to serve new looks all summer long. I already have a couple ideas swirling around in my head.

Leaning Into Linen
I will never forget the first time I truly got hip to the beauty of linen. It was during my assistant buying days at Bloomingdale's. I was on the designer bridge shoe team, and we were headed out to market in search of fresh new designs. We had a bunch of trendy vendors on our list, but it was the vendor that I was least excited about that taught me something new - the beauty of linen. The designer had their shoe models decked out in head to toe linen, and I became so intrigued by the looks, that I could barely focus on the shoes!

Fast forward a couple years, and here I am sharing my linen revelation with you! Linen looks amazing, as you can see thanks to my new favorite set, but it is also a high functioning summer fabric. Linen has high air permeability, so it keeps you cool in warm weather by allowing air to easily flow through its natural fiber. If you're like me and you sweat easily, you should definitely try to incorporate more linen into your wardrobe. Linen is super absorbent and it dries quickly for an easy breezy sweat-free life. It doesn't get much better than that!
